Amaya Kampot

AMAYA is a holiday homes concept. because we all need a place to escape to. A home away from home, that can rejuvenate our wellbeing and recharge our inspiration. For us, a balance of nature and community is the secret to a fulfilling life. Amaya’s residences sit harmoniously within the surrounding environment, but also integrate with each other to form a sense of community and belonging. It’s a lifestyle that we aspire to, so we created it in a place close to our hearts.

Amaya means Heavenly Valley in Japanese, Pleasant Place in Basque, Night Rain in Arabic and Earth Goddess in Sanskrit. It is no surprise that nature is our main inspiration, given Amaya’s uniquely beautiful setting. The logo itself features 4 peaks, which not only represent the hilly terrain, but also Amaya’s four founders, as well as a nod to the region’s iconic Durian fruit, which is farmed traditionally in the surrounding area.

Amaya was conceived and created by a group of friends who share a deep appreciation for nature, and a strong connection to Kampot. Some of us grew up here, and some of us fell in love with the area on frequent escapes from Phnom Penh. We want to see Kampot flourish and thrive in a way that respects past as well as future generations. Amaya is our contribution. We hope that our nature-sensitive development helps to improves well-being, fosters community, and inspires people to live more meaningful and fulfilled lives.
